2011 Presidential Award State Finalist in Math

Kenzie, Ed and I traveled to Hutchinson, Kansas so that I could be recognized as a 2011 Presidential Award State Nominee in math(Mason is taking finals this week). I was surprised to find out that I was selected as one of the two math finalist (the other 3 are science)! My paper is now being sent on to the national level where I will compete to be a national finalist! If so....trip to DC next spring. Only downfall, I have to wait until next May 2012 to find out! Until then, we will celebrate!

At the Cabin in Utah

Jessie took our family to an awesome cabin in the mountains of Utah!
The boys enjoyed the view!
The only way up was the 4-wheel drive truck...
or the four wheeler!
Austin took the wheel!
After only 3 hours of sleep the boys were ready to hit the slopes! KC really "hit" many slopes!
The girls were excited too!
